A small prototype game demo for the Pirate Game Jam for January 2024.
I would have loved to have 8 directional fast paced combat for all characters but as I am a solo dev I made due with what I have for now for this prototype.

Install instructions
Extract the Zip and run SpreadingCrimson.exe
You might get an Unreal Engine popup asking for permission the first time you open it, you can click allow and continue on. This happens whenever you open it for the first time.

i like the concept a lot. i got a kb but wasn't sure how to pick it up. q did not seem to work. why does the score count down?

Q absorbs the blood, to pickup powerups is F. You can see the full list of controls is the Tutorial menu. The score counts down to incentivize you to go faster.
After the game jam is over feel free to make a video on it if you'd like, but not needed. I'll be making one on it as well once I've finished updating it for the game jam.
